The Introduction
We can fulfill our aim if we genuinely provide the guidance expected of us.When there is a demand for guidance, inadvertently, an expectation comes into being.
The expectation arises from aspirants who seek to acquire the dimensions of complete growth under the meticulous intent and experience of the guides – the teachers. The expectation cannot be thwarted. The expectation must be fulfilled. The direction or the guidance can be given If the teachers equip themselves with adequate information, methodology,
sense of direction, commitment towards the task and of course the intent.
Let’s Know Ourselves
One of the basics of helping others grow under one’s care is the knowledge of the self. Let’s evaluate our knowledge of the self. Let’s make an effort to understand our knowledge of ourselves. It is not very difficult – nay it is neither very easy !
Can we – you and I tell ourselves our greatest merit ?
Good if we can, if not let us know it here and now.
Can we – yes ! you and I reveal to ourselves our best habit ?
Remember – the best habit may not be the greatest merit.
Let’s reveal to ourselves the best habit now.
Again, can we locate what best we have done for others so far ?
We should locate it here and now.
Do we remember what best was done for us by someone else ?
Let’s recall it right away.
Do we know who here is the one who cares for us (rather me) most ?
This must be known.
Do we all know what we need to reform in ourselves most urgently ?
Give a while – think, think and rethink.
Finally – Let us all resolve to advance towards the reform right away.
An off thought – why did we not do so thus far.

“None? John, you don’t know your arithmetic.”
“Teacher, you don’t know your sheep. When one goes, they all go
The Second
The children had all been photographed, and the teacher was trying to persuade them each to buy a copy of the group picture.
“Just think how nice it will be to look at it when you are all grown up and say, ‘There’s Jennifer; she’s a lawyer,’ or ‘That’s Michael. He’s a doctor.'”
A small voice at the back of the room rang out, “And there’s the teacher. She’s dead.”

Teacher: If I give you two rabbits and two rabbits and another two rabbits, How many rabbits have you got?
Paddy: Seven!
Teacher: No, listen carefully again. If I give you two rabbits and two rabbits and another two rabbits, how many rabbits have you got?
Paddy: Seven!
Teacher: Let’s try this another way. If I give you two apples and two apples and another two apples, how many apples have you got?
Paddy: Six.
Teacher: Good. Now if I give you two rabbits and two rabbits and another two rabbits, how many rabbits have you got?
Paddy: Seven!
Teacher: How on earth do you work out that three lots of two rabbits is seven?
Paddy: I’ve already got one rabbit at home now!

“Now then mister, why do you consider yourself an idiot?” enquired the teacher with a sneer.
“Well, actually I don’t,” said the student, “but I hate to see you standing up there all by yourself.”
